Extended Definition of Happiness

Happiness is a state or feeling that includes contentment, satisfaction, or joy. Happiness is caused by some events which you want to do, hope to come true, or get unpredicted things that you thought it was impossible.

It is not possible to measure the amount of happiness. There is a famous story,"The Prince and the Pauper" written by Mark Twain, which says happiness is relative. Also, there is a famous saying, "Is the glass half empty or half full?", which shows whether you are optimistic or pessimistic. As you can see from those things, happiness is dependent on how you perceive your situation. If you complain about your situation or compare to other people who are in better situation, then the only thing you can get is depression. On the other hand, if you appreciate to what you have or where you are, you can be happy, even though both situation is totally same.

In short, what I want to recommend you is "Be optimistic". This is the fastest and easiest way to be happy.

  2. i cant agree with u any more!!!!! The great part of our happiness or misery depends on our disposition, and not on our circumstances.most of optimists are extrovert, they have positive-thinking and never disappointed, they also have lots of friends, have close relationships. These all lead them to have a happiness life. happiness is everywhere, open to all, and needs but the eyes to see, mood to understand.

  3. I do agree with you about feeling of satisfaction, but I think sometime when you compare yourself with someone else it has a good and positive effect on your life. in fact you try to improve yourself, so the result can lead to happiness.
